Special event liability covers you. It does not cover a vendor's negligence. If a vendor causes damage and isn't insured, you can be left holding it. The right setup is each vendor carrying their own liability policy that names you as Additional Insured — and a certificate (COI) proving it, in one place, before the event.
Free: we'll chase the certificates for you. Give us your vendor list (name, email, phone) and our team will text and email each vendor to collect their COI into a secure vault. You'll see who's uploaded, who's pending, and who hasn't responded — and you can add vendors later.
Optional: vendors who don't have a usable certificate can get a Vendor Liability policy for their event, roughly $100, paid by the vendor.
Direct Event Insurance collects and stores third-party certificates as a courtesy. We do not verify, attest to, or bind coverage under any certificate we did not issue.
Please tick the permission box to continue with the COI chase, or choose "Not now."
